SkyUp Airlines Expands Chisinau Network with Four New Routes

SkyUp Airlines expands Chisinau network with four new routes – SkyUp Airlines continues to grow its presence in Moldova with an expanded route network out of Chisinau International Airport for the Northern Summer 2025 season. Operated under SkyUp MT’s U5 flight code, the airline is set to launch four new routes across Europe, while also revising frequencies on several previously announced services.

New Routes from Chisinau – Effective Summer 2025

All operated with Boeing 737-700 aircraft and 2 weekly flights:

  • Berlin – from 4 June 2025
  • Nice – from 21 May 2025
  • Prague – from 2 June 2025
  • Stockholm Skavsta – from 1 June 2025

These additions reflect SkyUp’s strategy to increase connectivity between Moldova and key European cities ahead of the peak summer travel period.

Updated Frequencies on Existing Routes

SkyUp has also filed updates to frequencies and equipment types on several existing and planned routes:

  • Alicante – 2 weekly from 19 May 2025
  • Athens – increased to 2 weekly from 19 May (was 1 weekly)
  • Barcelona – 1 weekly from 23 April; 3 weekly from 17 May using mixed 737-700/-800 aircraft
  • Irakleion (Heraklion) – ramping up from 2 weekly (26 April) to daily service by 19 May
  • Larnaca – operating 2 weekly from 19 April, increasing to 3 weekly from 13 May
  • Lisbon – 1 weekly from 18 April, switching to 737-700 from 6 June
  • Palma de Mallorca – 2 weekly from 24 May
  • Paris Beauvais – 2 weekly from 18 April, with 737-700 from 2 June
  • Thessaloniki – 2 weekly from 20 May, switching to 737-700 from 7 June

SkyUp’s aggressive network build-out from Chisinau reflects strong demand for outbound leisure and VFR (visiting friends and relatives) travel, as the airline continues to position itself as a key low-cost operator in the region.

With these additions, Chisinau’s summer 2025 connectivity sees a notable boost, offering Moldovan travelers more direct access to Western and Southern Europe.
