Wizz Air has made significant changes to its Wizz Discount Club, making the membership benefits less favorable than before. According to a notice sent to frequent flyers, starting April 29, the €10 flight discount will now only apply to tickets priced above €29.99, instead of the previous €19.99 threshold. Additionally, membership fees have increased substantially.
In its communication, the airline stated:
“This adjustment allows us to continue delivering high-quality services and to maintain the exceptional standards our customers expect from us.”
Alongside the revised discount conditions, Wizz Air also introduced new types of perks for members. These include exclusive fare offers, personalized promotions (e.g., birthday discounts), special partner deals, and priority customer support, which gives members direct access to agents for booking management.
The airline also clarified that if any current member wishes to cancel their membership due to these changes, they may request a refund for the remaining subscription period by contacting the customer service hotline by May 13. After this date, continued membership will be considered as acceptance of the new terms.
Although the notification email to existing members did not mention the updated pricing, the standard annual membership fee has risen from €39.99 to €59.99, while the “Standard Plus” group membership—which extends benefits to up to five travel companions—has gone up from €69.99 to €99.99, as listed on the airline’s website.
