Low-cost airline Wizz Air has announced a new seasonal connection between Katowice and Dubrovnik. The route will launch on July 23 and will be served twice weekly, remaining in operation until September 13.
The new flights will place Wizz Air in direct competition with Ryanair, which already operates three weekly services on the same route throughout the peak summer period.
This addition forms part of Wizz Air’s wider summer expansion in the former Yugoslav markets, where the carrier has scheduled more than forty new routes. Dubrovnik will also gain three further Wizz Air connections this season, linking the city with Cluj-Napoca, Gdansk and Budapest.
With the introduction of the Katowice service, Dubrovnik now counts ten newly launched routes for the upcoming summer season.
