Wizz Air expands network with four new destinations from Budapest Airport as part of its summer schedule. Starting at the end of June, the low-cost airline will introduce routes to Bilbao, Wrocław, Gdańsk, and Vilnius.
These newly announced routes provide Hungarian travelers with exciting opportunities to explore new cities while also making Budapest more accessible to tourists from these destinations.
With the addition of these flights, Wizz Air now offers connections from Budapest to over 70 airports across 33 countries. The airline operates more than 2,000 flights per week from the Hungarian capital, accounting for 36% of the airport’s passenger traffic. Currently, Wizz Air has a fleet of 17 aircraft stationed at its Budapest base.
The introduction of these new routes will add an additional 250,000 seats to the airline’s annual capacity, further strengthening its presence in the region.
