Starting on April 17, 2026, passengers from Mureș County will have a new flight option to Germany. The Vice President of Mureș County Council, Attila Zoltán Csibi, announced the launch of a new air connection from Târgu Mureș to Karlsruhe–Baden-Baden Airport, introduced as a temporary solution due to scheduled works at Basel Airport.
“We continue to expand the route network and provide more direct travel options for people in the region,” the county official stated.
This new destination comes as Wizz Air is further expanding its operations at Târgu Mureș Airport with several European routes, as part of the reopening of its base there. New services to cities such as Brussels, Paris, Milan, and London are set to begin in March 2026.
