Turkish Airlines Launches Direct Flights from Istanbul to Ohrid

Turkish Airlines launches direct flights from Istanbul to Ohrid, North Macedonia, with the inaugural flight departing on March 27, 2025. This service operates four times weekly, enhancing connectivity between the two cities.

Flight Schedule:

  • TK1009 departs Istanbul at 10:35 AM, arriving in Ohrid at 11:15 AM on Mondays and Thursdays.​
  • TK1011 departs Istanbul at 1:00 PM, arriving in Ohrid at 1:40 PM on Wednesdays and Sundays.​
  • TK1010 departs Ohrid at 12:05 PM, arriving in Istanbul at 2:45 PM on Mondays and Thursdays.​
  • TK1012 departs Ohrid at 2:30 PM, arriving in Istanbul at 5:10 PM on Wednesdays and Sundays.​

The route utilizes various narrow-body aircraft, including Boeing 737-800, 737-900ER, 737 MAX 8, and Airbus A320/321 models.

Ohrid, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is renowned for its historic architecture and picturesque lakeside setting, making it an attractive destination for travelers. The introduction of this route is expected to boost tourism and strengthen cultural ties between Turkey and North Macedonia.​
