Smartwings Hungary: Charters from Budapest to Tunisia – the carrier is set to enhance its summer charter offerings in 2025 with an updated schedule for its Tunisia services. The airline is splitting its operations between two popular North African beach destinations—Djerba and Monastir—introducing a more tailored approach to meet seasonal demand from Budapest.

Budapest – Djerba

Starting 14 June through 4 October 2025, Smartwings Hungary will operate a once-weekly flight to Djerba on Saturdays using a Boeing 737-800:

  • 7O5442 BUD 18:55 – 20:45 DJE
  • 7O5443 DJE 21:35 – 01:25+1 BUD

Budapest – Monastir

Service to Monastir begins earlier, from 16 May 2025, with an initial once-weekly Friday frequency. Between 3 June and 30 September, the frequency increases to three times weekly, operating on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays:

Outbound Flights:

  • 7O5436 BUD 04:00 – 05:25 MIR (Fri)
  • 7O5434 BUD 05:00 – 06:25 MIR (Tue)
  • 7O5430 BUD 18:35 – 20:00 MIR (Tue)

Inbound Flights:

  • 7O5437 MIR 06:15 – 09:45 BUD (Fri)
  • 7O5435 MIR 14:15 – 17:45 BUD (Tue)
  • 7O5431 MIR 20:50 – 00:20+1 BUD (Tue)

This strategic schedule split enables better distribution of passenger loads and offers more flexible travel options for Hungarian holidaymakers seeking sun-soaked getaways along Tunisia’s Mediterranean coast.

Smartwings Hungary continues to be a key player in the Central European leisure travel market, responding dynamically to travel demand trends across North Africa and beyond.
