From June 28, 2026, Norwegian will launch its first-ever flights between Cluj-Napoca and the capital of Denmark, Copenhagen.
The route will be operated twice weekly, on Wednesdays and Sundays, according to the schedule below. This new service offers passengers from across Transylvania an excellent opportunity to travel quickly and conveniently to Scandinavia.
Tickets are already available on the airline’s website: www.norwegian.com.
With this new direct connection, passengers departing from Cluj International Airport to Copenhagen can benefit from more than 80 onward connections offered by Norwegian via Copenhagen Airport (CPH) — one of the largest hubs in Northern Europe, which handled approximately 30 million passengers in 2024. Copenhagen Airport is located just 8 km from the city center.
Copenhagen, the capital of Denmark, is one of Europe’s most vibrant destinations, suitable for all types of travel. Highlights include Nyhavn, the famous historic harbor with colorful houses and charming restaurants; Amalienborg Palace, a landmark of Rococo architecture and residence of the Danish Royal Family; and Tivoli Gardens, one of the oldest amusement parks in the world. The city is also renowned for its high quality of life, excellent cycling infrastructure, and innovative culinary scene, featuring several Michelin-starred restaurants. Despite being a capital with over one million residents, Copenhagen has a welcoming and intimate atmosphere — one of the reasons Denmark is world-famous for its unique concept of “hygge.”
According to Norwegian’s announced schedule, the new destination will also provide convenient onward connections in both directions to major Nordic capitals:
✈ Every Wednesday and Sunday, from Cluj to Copenhagen and further onward to more than 80 destinations across Scandinavia, Europe, and North Africa.
