According to Rynek Lotniczy, LOT Polish Airlines will launch direct flights on the Gdańsk–Kraków route. The connection will operate during the summer season, from 29 May to 28 September 2026.

Flights will be scheduled four times per week — on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Sundays — ensuring efficient connections between the north and south of the country. Departures from Gdańsk are planned for 12:45, while return flights from Kraków will depart at 15:00. The flight duration will be 1 hour and 15 minutes, and the route will be operated with Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft.

The new connection will significantly shorten travel times between Pomerania and Małopolska, offering passengers a convenient alternative to road and rail transport, especially during the busiest months. The route will enable efficient travel for both business and leisure purposes, without the need for transfers.

“The Gdańsk–Kraków connection is returning to the LOT Polish Airlines network as domestic flight offerings continue to expand. This service is well suited to the summer season, when passenger mobility increases significantly. The route connects two strategic airports in Poland, in addition to Chopin Airport, strengthening accessibility to the country’s key regions,” said Robert Ludera, Proxy and Director of the Network Planning Office at LOT Polish Airlines.

“For residents of northern Poland, the connection means fast access to Kraków and the Małopolska region — one of the country’s most important economic and tourist centers. Passengers from southern Poland will also benefit from direct connections to the Tricity area and Pomerania, which are particularly attractive during the summer season. The route will support efficient business and leisure travel and will complement LOT Polish Airlines’ existing offer, where passengers connecting via Warsaw can already travel from Gdańsk to Kraków up to six times a day.”

“The restoration of the direct Gdańsk–Kraków connection by LOT Polish Airlines is very good news for Gdańsk and the entire region. This is a genuine link between the north and south of the country, operating four times a week and meeting the needs of both business and leisure passengers. This route represents another important step in the development of PLL LOT’s domestic route network and strengthens the role of Gdańsk Airport within Poland’s transport system,” emphasized Tomasz Kloskowski, President of Gdańsk Airport.

“The launch of the Kraków–Gdańsk connection is a significant element in the development of the domestic route network and confirms the development strategy consistently implemented by PLL LOT at Kraków Airport. We are particularly pleased that in the upcoming summer season the carrier will also launch new routes to Madrid, Barcelona, and Rome, which will significantly increase the availability of attractive European destinations for passengers from Kraków and the Małopolska region,” added Łukasz Strutyński, President of John Paul II International Airport Kraków–Balice.
