flyDubai to Launch Direct Flights Between Iași and Dubai

flyDubai officially announced on Wednesday that it will launch direct flights between Iași and Dubai starting this fall, with two weekly services. Iași will become the airline’s second destination in Romania, alongside Bucharest.

With this new route, flyDubai, the Dubai-based airline, continues to expand its network by introducing a new service to Iași starting September 19, becoming the first airline from the United Arab Emirates to operate direct flights from Dubai to the city.

The flights will operate twice a week from Iași International Airport (IAS) to Dubai International Airport (DXB), Terminal 2.

“Dubai is one of the world’s major aviation hubs, and this new route will not only open access to key global destinations but also serve as a gateway connecting Iași Airport to the Middle East region,” said Costel Alexe, President of the Iași County Council.

In addition to the new Iași route, flyDubai has also announced new operations to Chișinău, Moldova starting September 17; Vilnius, Lithuania on December 11; and Riga, Latvia on December 12—bringing its European network to 35 destinations across 20 countries.
