In a statement, Marius Pandel, President of AnimaWings, said these new routes reflect a clear strategy: “We are investing in a diverse network of destinations, modern services, and affordable travel options for passengers across Transylvania.”

Alin Țișe, President of the Cluj County Council, added that better air connectivity is crucial not only for tourism, but also for the region’s overall economic and development ambitions.

Viorel Federiga, Chair of the Board at Cluj Airport, expressed appreciation for AnimaWings’ decision to scale up operations, calling the new routes “a major enhancement” to the airport’s international connectivity.

Meanwhile, David Ciceo, CEO of Cluj Airport, pointed out that Olbia and Thessaloniki — both new to Cluj’s route network — meet a strong demand from travelers in the region
