According to BoadingPass.ro, Wizz Air is introducing a new regular air service between Bucharest’s Băneasa Airport and Stockholm’s main airport, Arlanda.
The Hungarian low-cost carrier will begin operations on this route on 30 March 2026, offering three weekly flights every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
As a result, the airline will cancel its existing service between Bucharest Otopeni Airport and Skavsta Airport.
Skavsta, which is primarily used by low-cost airlines such as Ryanair and Wizz Air, serves as an alternative airport for Stockholm but is located around 100 km southwest of the city.
The new Băneasa–Arlanda flights will operate on a different schedule compared to the current Otopeni–Skavsta services.
Flight schedule:
- W43201: Bucharest (BBU) 12:30 – 14:25 Stockholm (ARN)
- W43202: Stockholm (ARN) 15:00 – 18:50 Bucharest (BBU)
Tickets are already available for purchase on Wizz Air’s official website.
Besides Wizz Air, only Animawings currently operates regular commercial flights on this route, with two weekly services.
