Latvian airline airBaltic is expanding its network of flights operated from Chișinău International Airport “Eugen Doga,” announcing the launch of a new direct route to Vilnius, Lithuania. The flights will start on April 1, 2026, according to MOLDPRES reports.

“The new air connection will have two weekly frequencies, on Wednesdays and Sundays. With this launch, Vilnius becomes the second destination in the Baltic region served directly by airBaltic from the Republic of Moldova, alongside Riga,” the airport authority explains.

Representatives of the airport emphasize that the expansion of airBaltic’s network contributes to increasing the Republic of Moldova’s connectivity with Northern Europe and offers passengers new travel options for both tourism and business purposes.

airBaltic is the largest airline in the Baltic states and operates one of the youngest fleets in Europe, consisting of 51 Airbus A220-300 aircraft. The carrier has more than 30 years of operational experience and currently connects the Baltic states with around 80 destinations across Europe and other regions.

Tickets and the full flight schedule are available on the airline’s official website.
