LOT Polish Airlines, the flag carrier of Poland, has announced the launch of direct flights between Warsaw and San Francisco, beginning 6 May 2026. The new service will mark LOT’s sixth destination in the United States, expanding the airline’s transatlantic network.

According to the carrier, flights will operate four times weekly between Warsaw Chopin Airport (WAW) and San Francisco International Airport (SFO). The route will be operated by a Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner, at least for the inaugural service.

At launch, economy class fares for the first flight are priced from PLN 1,679, while business class tickets start at PLN 6,617.

LOT currently operates a fleet of 15 Boeing 787s — eight 787-8s and seven 787-9s.

“The United States remains one of LOT’s key long-haul markets, with growing potential for both business and leisure travel,” said Robert Ludera, Director of the Network Department at LOT Polish Airlines. “Not only will the new route connect the heart of Europe with the global hub for technology and innovation, but it will also open up new opportunities for travellers.”

In addition to San Francisco, LOT plans to serve five other U.S. airports in May 2026:
Chicago O’Hare (ORD), Miami (MIA), Newark (EWR), New York JFK (JFK), and Los Angeles (LAX) — the latter also operating four times per week.

With the addition of San Francisco, LOT continues to strengthen its transatlantic presence, linking Central Europe with key U.S. business and tourism hubs.
