According to the aviation news site BoardingPass.ro, the Romanian-Moldovan carrier HiSky will launch a new long-haul service connecting Bucharest Henri Coandă International Airport (OTP) with Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD) at the beginning of June 2026.
The inaugural flight is scheduled for 4 June 2026, with two weekly frequencies, operating every Thursday and Sunday. This new route comes one year after HiSky introduced its first long-haul connection, linking Bucharest with New York–JFK.
Ticket sales are already open, with one-way fares starting from €312, giving travelers a convenient and competitively priced direct option between Romania’s capital and one of the United States’ largest hubs.
